I work on my feet all day long and I have a lot of leg and knee pain.. Normal tennis shoes and flats just aren’t cutting it and I’d like to get some input before I go and spend like 200 dollars on a pair of shoes that end up doing nothing for me.. so far I’ve heard suggested, tieks and dansko? any other suggestions?

Nikes! They’re sooo comfy. I have a pair of Nike Air’s that I wear all day long and my feet feel amazing at the end of the day. And they come in a lot of different colors too which is an added bonus.

For ballet, high arches are a requirement for a professional. Depending on the cause of your flat feet, ballet can actually build your arch up. Not to a professional level for ballet, but at a good level for other types of dance.
You do not wear supports in ballet shoes. You work your feet to build your arch.
I am not a big sports person, but gymnastics would also build arches.

i was just diagnosed with plantar faciitis (fallen arches) and have lots of inflammation in the bottom of my feet. i can’t afford the orthodics right now and have to take a lot of ibuprofren just to work every day. they have offered me the steroid ijections directly into the plantar facia in the bottom of my foot. it sounds terrible to me…but if they actually work for a while it might be worth it.

Well, I have a friend at work and she said the shots hurt like heck, but they work. The pain from her shoulder was gone for about 2 weeks. She has to keep going back for shots so she decided to stop.

What are you teaching? Voice recognition software might be a possibility if you are working on academics. If you are working on physical therapy, then I would suggest talking with his PT for strategies.
