My arches aren’t too bad but I want to improve them so I can be better at pointe/ballet in general. I know you can use things such as therabands and things like that, but I was wondering if wearing arch support insoles actually improves your arches, or just supports them? Any other tips as well are welcome thank yaa

Answer by Damogi
My friend once used a pro arch to help with her arches and she damaged her foot using it and couldn’t dance for ages so stay away from those.
An excersise you could try is sit on the floor with one foot in front of you, try and lift your foot whilst trying to keep you toes and heel on the floor.
. Every morning, whilst cleaning my face and brushing my teeth, I do slow and steady rises which really help strengthen my ankles. I’m not so sure this helps arches but it definitely helps insteps which strengthens your ankles which us good for pointe
I hope this helped you in some way and be careful not to push yourself too much as it might damage your foot and interfer with your dancing. Be careful and happy dancing!
