Question by Amy B: To orthotic wearers: brands of cute shoes that will accommodate a large foot and an orthotic?
I’ve worn orthotics for years to help with tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. The only shoes I can find that will fit my foot and an orthotic is New Balance. I need a pair of shoes that are somewhat dressy (can be worn with skirts and suits) but also comfortable and will accommodate an orthotic. I’ve tried SAS in the past, but they are old-looking and don’t provide a whole lot of support. I’m thinking about trying Drew. What are your thoughts?

Try the In-Stride “Zappos” shoes…or
Supremes by “Softspots”
or even some Birkenstocks, these go well with longer skirts, and to make them look “dressy”, coordinate a pretty white or ecru blouse and a solid vest, or attractive patterned vest (paisley or mini-flowered)
Do not shy away from dress pants that flair out wide at the bottom as well…they flow nice and hide your shoes.
Have your feet re-evaluated to make sure your inserts are still proper and if there are any newer insert styles available now that would work with other shoes….
